Recently, media reports stated that four ministries including the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology have reached a consensus that a new subsidy policy for new energy vehicles will be introduced in the first half of the year. The subsidies will be divided into 16 levels, and the minimum subsidy standard is also larger than the previous standard of 3,000 yuan per kilowatt hour. However, on May 9, Dong Yang, secretary-general of the my country Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said that rumors of new energy vehicle subsidies being introduced in the first half of the year are unreliable.
Regarding the continuation of the new energy vehicle subsidy policy, the industry generally agrees with it. Li Weili, director of the Manufacturing Division of the Information Resources Development Department of the National Information Center, said that the new energy vehicle subsidy policy will be extended until at least 2015.

However, due to changes in the direction of national support during this period, the company generally focused on short-term subsidies, thus interrupting research in this area. Now the country is beginning to pay attention to it, but technology has distanced itself from international car companies.
Relevant experiences and lessons learned from the development of hybrid vehicles also apply to pure electric vehicles. The industry believes that although the sales environment for pure electric vehicles is not yet mature, the research and development of car companies cannot be interrupted.
The bus field is expected to take the lead in breakthroughs
The new energy vehicle industry is not hopeless at present. The industry believes that pure electric vehicles are expected to be the first to emerge with economically beneficial business models in the field of public transportation.
Ge Yuan said that due to the special nature of its operations in the public transportation field, the development of pure electric vehicles should be very promising. However, in the field of private purchases, due to low cost performance and inconvenient use, it is expected that it will be difficult to make a breakthrough in the short term. There are already taxi companies that have achieved profitability using pure electric taxis. It is expected that this year or next year, more economically efficient models may appear in public transportation fields such as taxis and buses.
