Lithium battery materials are mainly composed of cathode materials, cathode materials, diaphragms and electrolytes.
1. Among the cathode materials, the most commonly used materials are lithium cobalate, lithium manganate, lithium iron phosphate and ternary lithium battery materials (nickel cobalt manganese polymer). Positive electrode materials account for a large proportion (the mass ratio of positive and negative electrode materials is 3:1~4:1). Because the performance of positive electrode materials directly affects the performance of lithium ion batteries, its cost also directly determines the cost of batteries.
2. Among the anode materials, the current anode materials are mainly natural graphite and artificial graphite. Anode materials being explored include nitrides, PAS, tin based oxides, tin alloys, nano anode materials, and other intermetallic compounds. As one of the four major components of lithium battery, anode material plays an important role in improving battery capacity and cycle performance, and is at the core of the middle reaches of lithium battery industry.
3. Commercialized membrane materials are mainly polyolefin membranes mainly composed of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). In the structure of lithium battery, the diaphragm is one of the key inner components. The performance of the separator determines the interface structure and internal resistance of the battery, which directly affects the capacity, cycle and safety of the battery. The separator with excellent performance plays an important role in improving the overall performance of the battery.
4. Electrolyte is generally made of high-purity organic solvent, electrolyte lithium salt, necessary additives and other raw materials, under certain conditions and in a certain proportion. The electrolyte plays the role of conducting ions between the positive and negative electrodes of the lithium battery, which guarantees the lithium battery to obtain high voltage, high specific energy and other advantages.
