CR2032 button battery pin configuration

CR2032 button battery includes two pins, positive terminal and negative terminal, and its pin configuration is shown in the figure below:

Pin1 (positive terminal): The bottom of the battery is a positive terminal, made of stainless steel.

Pin2 (negative terminal): The insulating top cover is called the negative terminal.

Equivalent CR2032 battery models are: CR2032, BR2032, 5004LC, DL2032, KCR2032, KECR2032 and ECR2032. These batteries can have the same voltage, height, diameter as button cells.

For example, a CR2016 battery has the same diameter and voltage as a CR2032, but a different height, so it cannot fit securely into a device. The CR1632 coin cell is similar in voltage and height to the CR2032 cell, but is 4mm in diameter. Therefore, knowing its specifications is very important to use in a suitable application.
