【AA Alkaline Batteries】Classification
Ordinary battery
Ordinary
batteries are zinc-manganese batteries, and the voltage of each battery
is 1.5V. There are three main types of ordinary batteries: ① normal
mode, marked model R6 or R6S; ② high capacity battery, marked model R6C;
③ zinc chloride high power type, marked model R6P. The advantage of R6P
is its large capacity, which is close to that of alkaline batteries.
There are sub-groups AM3/UM3 called alkaline and carbon,
Alkaline battery
The
model of the alkaline battery is LR6, and the voltage of a single
battery is 1.5V. It is characterized by large capacity, generally 2 to 6
times that of ordinary batteries, and can be discharged with a large
current. It is suitable for electrical devices such as tape recorders
and flashlights that require high current.
Rechargeable Battery
The
voltage of a single battery is 1.1 or 1.2V. The nickel-cadmium battery
marked NICKEL-CADMlIUM on the battery, and the nickel-metal hydride
battery marked NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE (or NI-MH). The charge-discharge
cycle of the rechargeable battery can reach 500~1500 times, and it can
be discharged with a large current. The internal resistance does not
change much at the moment of discharge, and the internal resistance
increases sharply at the end of discharge.
Among them, nickel-metal
hydride batteries have no memory, and the current capacity can reach up
to 2700mAh, so they are better than nickel-cadmium batteries. Their
economy and excellent environmental protection performance will
gradually replace alkaline batteries and nickel-cadmium batteries.
